A youth pastor at a Colorado Springs church has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a child, police said.

Stephen Michael Houlihan, 28, a communications pastor at Fellowship of the Rockies church, was booked June 8 on charges of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, internet luring of a child, and obscenity, according to Fountain police.

“At this time, we are unaware of any other incidents involving Houlihan,” police said in a news release.

Church officials could not immediately be reached for comment Friday since their offices were closed.

Houlihan has worked at the church since January 2017, according to his LinkedIn page, serving as a worship pastor and communications pastor. He previously served as a communications designer at the church from 2013 to 2015.

Police said the investigation remains active. Authorities request anyone with information to call the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center at 719-390-5555. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 719-634 STOP (7867) or 1-800-222-8477.
