Some hatchling sea turtles that got turned around on their way to the ocean got a second chance this weekend thanks to a group of Florida firefighters.

The Broward County Sheriff's Office tweeted on Saturday about "3 wayward baby sea turtles which fell into a storm drain."

Thankfully, a good Samaritan saw the debacle unfolding and quickly called authorities.

As seen in photos and video shared by the office, the firefighters scooped the reptiles up in a bucket and whisked them back the right way.

"The turtles were swiftly returned to their natural habitat-the ocean. We wish them well..." the office wrote.

Just about every species of sea turtle is either vulnerable or threatened, but conservationists are doing what they can to help the animals make a comeback.

Just last week, some 1,000 onlookers cheered on a couple of sea turtles in the Florida Keys as they were re-introduced to the ocean following rehabilitation.
