Phil Spector, Music Producer Who KIlled Actress Lana Clarkson, Dies at 81
Music producer and convicted murderer Phil Spector has died in jail at the age of 81. Spector had been in jail since 2009 serving a 19 years-to-life sentence for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson. Prior to the murder, Phil Spector was famous for producing music with his signature Wall of Sound, that layered several instruments to create an orchestral sound in popular music. He founded 1960’s girl groups, The Crystals and the Ronettes, and produced the “Let It Be” album for the Beatles.
