Officials are warning drivers to slow down and not to drive tired after sharing a photo Thursday of a truck adrift in Lake Tahoe.

The driver, who was tired at the time, almost hit another driver before crashing into the lake, the Placer County Sheriff's Office said.

"Don’t risk your health or the health of others by driving sleepy," the Sheriff's Office tweeted.

The crash happened near Homewood, the Sheriff's Office said.

Photos show the pickup truck partially submerged in what appears to be shallow water.

"Honestly this happens way more than it should," California Highway Patrol said on Facebook. "Luckily no one was hurt, but with summer season just getting into stride it is time to slow down around the lake."
