55-Foot-Long Whale Has Severe Case of Scoliosis
A 40-ton whale has a severe case of scoliosis. Drone footage shows the 55-foot-long whale swimming in the Mediterranean Sea off of the coast of Spain. The fin whale is the second-largest species on earth after the blue whale. The endangered mammal’s biggest threat comes from vessel strikes. Due to the whale’s size, malformation along with swimming in the open sea, experts say it’s not possible to remotely track it.
