Tips for an Injury-Free Thanksgiving
Chef Michelle Doll-Olsen with the meal kit delivery service HelloFresh says to be careful cutting your turkey. The Butterball Turkey hotline gets roughly 11,000 calls every Thanksgiving from people having emergencies. Doll-Olsen says finger placement is critical when it comes to slicing and dicing injuries. To start carving the turkey, she says to cut off both legs and then move on to the breasts. Doll-Olsen also suggests switching to a smaller knife to get around the bones.
