Fatal motorcycle crash on E. Lake Mead, Pecos; intersection closed

North Las Vegas Police Department on Wednesday dispatched to the intersection of E. Lake Mead Blvd., and Pecos Rd., around 2 p.m. to find a collision between a black Honda Shadow motorcycle and a 2000 Mercury Sable.

Medical personnel arrived and transported the female motorcyclist involved in the crash to UMC where she succumbed to her injuries and passed away.

The motorcyclist's age and race are unknown at this time and impairment and speed is still under investigation.

The intersection is now closed and travellers should avoid the area.
