Since strange and stressful holidays don’t seem to be going anywhere, good gift-giving is essential! Despite supply chain issues and shipping delays, there are lots of beautiful and budget-friendly gifts to give our loved ones.  Here are my favorites under $50.

Food & Beverage

Little Red Kitchen Blondie and Brownie Gift Set ($24) This set contains four each of housemade, freshly-baked blondies and brownies. The fudgy brownies are baked with dark Belgian chocolate and topped with a sprinkling of sea salt, and the buttery blondies are made with organic brown sugar. Delicious!

Love + Chew Variety Gift Pack of Minis ($26.99)

For the gluten-free sweet tooth on your list, these 16 individually wrapped, soft-baked, superfood cookies are vegan, paleo and non-GMO, and they come in flavors like mocha chip and banana bread. They're a healthy and tasty grab-and-go snack and a perfect add-on for packed lunches for the kids.

Bean Box Coffee Tasting Subscription ($16.95 per month)

Each month, your giftee will receive four curated coffees from new roasters and small-batch micro-lots around the world. Each 1.8oz tasting bag brews 4-6 cups of coffee, the perfect way to find new favorites, which can be ordered in larger quantities on

Little Red Cup Tea Four Tin Gift Sampler ($20)

Choose any four fair trade, loose-leaf teas to include in this sweet boxed set of tins, a lovely little gift for organic tea-lovers. There are category-based options, like four green teas, or two black and two green, or you can select each flavor individually.

Apparel & Accessories

Able Made Personalized Sock Gift Box ($45)

A fun and colorful gift for your favorite sock fanatic, this gift box contains your choice of four pairs of Able Made’s wonderful socks, made with certified organic cotton, cruelty-free Merino wool and upcycled and deadstock materials. The ribbon-wrapped box arrives ready to give, and every purchase benefits city youth health and empowerment via Ucal McKenzie Breakaway Foundation.

Air & Anchor You Do You Adjustable Rope Bracelets ($32)

These unisex, adjustable bracelets are distinctive and stylish and are available in Vintage Gold and Vintage Silver. They add a little shine to any outfit but are neutral enough to be worn every day (I don’t take mine off).

On the Go

Mint Mobile ($15 per month and up)

Mint Mobile was just named the No. 1 national cell phone plan of 2021 by USNews, and I agree that they offer the best value in wireless, with plans as low as $15 a month for premium service and data – like other giant carriers. After doing a trial, I’ve switched myself and my family over and would suggest this as a gift for anyone on your list who needs or is overpaying for mobile service.

D3 Products Liddle Speaker ($29.99)

This award-winning magnetic Bluetooth speaker pairs with any Bluetooth-enabled device and comes with a magnetic adhesive ring that allows it to attach to any surface. For its size, it provides excellent sound and you can link more than one Liddle for broader sound.

Tomtoc Urban Minimalist EDC Sling Bag ($38.99)

A more minimal option for travel or when they’re out and about, this compact crossbody bag has multiple internal pockets for tech devices and a power bank, plus a quick-access front pocket for keys, earbuds, credit cards and more. This is ieal for a guy or gal on the go.

Glob Shift Bag in Ripstop ($32)

A go-to bag for trips to the market or for when you need extra storage when you’re traveling, this Ripstop bag, which is available in five bright colors, is made with recycled plastic bottles. When not in use, the bag packs down into its own pouch for easy transport. Glob donates 1% of sales to CoalitionWILD, an organization that teaches kids about sustainability.

Verilux HappyLight Lumi Plus ($39.99)

In my opinion, everyone needs one of these on their desk. Turn the UV-Free LED light on for a few minutes to chase away the winter doldrums, plus, it’s a very flattering light to use for Zoom meetings (I’ve received many compliments since I’ve been using it!).

FEBE Candles Man Cave ($25)

This vegan, eco-friendly, and cruelty-free candle collection comes in glam gold jars, which alone will add zing to any space. Layer in one of their gorgeous fragrances, like Man Cave, and you’ve created real atmosphere. Man Cave is a unisex scent, a blend of earthy citrus, coconut, wood, moss and vanilla.

Bloomscape ($39 and up)

This modern garden center delivers a broad variety of carefully-packed, high-quality houseplants directly from the greenhouse right to your home. The plants come in XS to XL sizes and can be filtered by difficulty, light level, pet friendliness and air cleanliness. The company can provide ongoing tips and advice to help the plant thrive.

Laura Ashley Ornate Frame Collection ($15.99)

If a simple frame simply won’t do, uplevel your framing game with this collection of ornate frames from Laura Ashley. These affordable, lightweight, and sturdy frames look incredibly luxe are available in a variety of patterns and colors.

Kodak Moments Photo Gifts (prices vary)

Love photo gifts? Kodak has upgraded its in-store kiosks, making it easier than ever to order affordable personalized photo products for same-day pickup. Gifts include 8”x8” Wall Tiles (which I’ll be ordering for my mom’s new apartment), canvas prints, acrylic magnets, and more. Use their kiosk locator to find a location near you, like your local drug store chain.

Fun & Games

No Filter Game ($12.99)

This fun get-to-know-you game is perfect to get the conversation flowing at awkward family gatherings or new friend get-togethers.  Players roll the dice to see who gets to answer one of 200 thought-provoking questions. It's easy to play and is suitable for 3+ players, ages 12 and up.

LottoLove ($20 and up)

Is someone on your list on a mission to do good? These lottery-style scratch tickets make giving back easy and fun. Instead of scratching off to winning money, recipients “win” a charitable prize for important causes, like clean water, solar energy, mentorship, leadership training and more! Each gift includes two scratch-off tickets, your choice of a greeting card and info, all tied with a gold ribbon for easy gifting.

Le Puzz Lighten Up - 500 Piece puzzle ($28)

This brand new company was founded out of a love for vintage puzzles. The extra-thick puzzles feature the founder’s quirky collectibles like glow-in-the-dark 3D printed Venus De Milos, glass eggs, and miniature slippers.  All of the puzzles are random cut, printed on sustainably-sourced paper and feature a fun game on the back. For every puzzle sold, Le Puzz donates $1 to the Boys & Girls Club of America.
