Surf City Marathons sets pace through Huntington Beach

Some 15,000 people laced up their running shoes and took to the streets of Huntington Beach over the weekend, some traveling more than 26 miles on Sunday.
The Surf City Marathon was held again, offering not just the premier race, but also a half-marathon, 5K and a mile run on the beach.
Jason Yang of Los Angeles was the overall men’s winner of the marathon, finishing a second over 2 hours and 29 minutes. Michelle Jacobsen, of Newport Beach, led the women over the marathon’s finish line with a time of 2:57:41.
