The chase for 82 and 16 is underway.

Looking to add to his PGA Tour and major championship win totals this week at Bethpage Black, Tiger Woods was all over the place during the opening round of the 101st PGA Championship. A four-time winner of the event in 1999, 2000, 2006 and 2007, Woods is playing the event for the 20th time this week.

The 2019 Masters and 15-time major champion shot a 2-over 72 on Thursday alongside Francesco Molinari and Brooks Koepka, who holds the lead after a course record 7-under 63. Check out Woods' round shot-by-shot below.

LEADERBOARD: 101st PGA Championship

Hole 9: Par 4, 474 yards

OFF THE TEE: Tiger ends the day in the fairway, just shy of a bunker. Silver lining to stay in the short stuff after an awful day.

APPROACH SHOT: Tiger finds the back of the green, leaving a 22-footer for birdie to end the day.

ON THE GREEN: He left his one short again and cleans up for par.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 2-over 72.

Hole 8: Par 3, 223 yards

OFF THE TEE: Tiger's tee shot just misses the green. He's in the rough to the right of the dance floor, about 44 feet from the pin.

AROUND THE GREEN: Oof. Not a great chip as Tiger leaves eight feet for par. Probably could've putted from the rough there to keep it closer, but, nope.

ON THE GREEN: It's just been that kind of day. Another par missed for a bad bogey. Tiger just doesn't have it with the short stick.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 2-over thru 17.

Hole 7: Par 4, 495 yards

OFF THE TEE: Tiger keeps this one in the fairway, 285 yards to the left side of the short stuff.

APPROACH SHOT: Tiger flies this one on the green, landing on the back left. The problem is, the pin is to the right. He'll have 55 feet for birdie from there.

ON THE GREEN: Well this certainly wasn't his best effort. The birdie putt comes up short by about six feet, so he'll have some meat left on the par bone. Nope. Another just awful bogey.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 1-over thru 16.

Hole 6: Par 4, 392 yards

OFF THE TEE: Tiger goes with an iron here but fails to hit the fairway. He's in the rough, where he absolutely should not be with an iron.

APPROACH SHOT: Tiger got this one pretty clean from the rough and finds the back portion of the green, a good 50 feet from the front-left pin.

ON THE GREEN: Nothing really to see here. The birdie putt comes up a few feet short and he cleans up for a two-putt par.

TIGER ON THE DAY: Even thru 15.

Hole 5: Par 4, 481 yards

OFF THE TEE: TW has some rhythm here as he fires another shot down the fairway on No. 5.

APPROACH SHOT: Tiger didn't love this one and looked a little unsettled. He's dancing on the green, but it's a long song. He'll have 32 feet to the pin, located on the back right of the green.

ON THE GREEN: Just slightly off either with his line or pace, because this one was tracking. It had a lot of left-to-right movement and just skates by the cup. He'll have four feet and change for par. Oh no … another awful putt from Tiger and he drops back to even. Terrible.

TIGER ON THE DAY: Even thru 14.

Hole 4: Par 5, 516 yards

OFF THE TEE: Tiger narrowly avoids the bunkers guarding the left side of the fairway and finds the short grass. He'll have 210 yards to the hole to go for eagle.

APPROACH SHOT: Tiger gave this one a ride and finds the green. The front pin was guarded by bunkers, and TW played this one long. He'll have 34 feet for eagle from there.

ON THE GREEN: Is President Trump here? Because the eagle just landed. Tiger buries the eagle putt to move below par for the first time today.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 1-under thru 13.

Hole 3: Par 3, 235 yards

OFF THE TEE: Tiger's iron here on the third was b-e-a-utiful. He's just beyond the cup, inside 10 feet for a chance at three straight birdies.

ON THE GREEN: No dice with the birdie putt as Tiger just misses here. Two putt par. Moving on.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 1-over thru 12.

Hole 2: Par 4, 377 yards

OFF THE TEE: TW hit a bullet down the middle of the fairway here with a fairway wood on No. 2. He'll have 110 yards to the pin.

APPROACH SHOT: Now THIS is the Tiger we expected to see. The Big Cat went after the pin here and nestled this one within four feet of the cup for birdie.

ON THE GREEN: No doubt about this one as Tiger sends the ball to its home in the bottom of the cup. Consecutive birdies to start his second nine.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 1-over thru 11.

Hole 1: Par 4, 426 yards

OFF THE TEE: Another driver miss to the right for Tiger, who finds the deep rough once again.

APPROACH SHOT: Tiger hammers this one out of the rough and winds up pin-high to the right of the cup from 14 feet. He'll have a birdie look.

ON THE GREEN: BANG! Tiger grooves this one into the cup for a much-needed birdie to start his second nine. That's a great birdie from a rough (pun intended) position off the tee.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 2-over thru 10.

Hole 18: Par 4, 403 yards

OFF THE TEE: Tiger finds the fairway here to close out his opening nine. Nice shot.

APPROACH SHOT: The pin is on the front of the green, guarded by bunkers on the left and right. TW played this one perfectly, finding the green about 14 feet past the hole. Another birdie look before the turn.

ON THE GREEN: No dice here for birdie but he cleans up for par.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 3-over thru 9, makes the turn T54.

Hole 17: Par 3, 199 yards

OFF THE TEE: Tiger went pin-seeking with the 6-iron but comes up short and right in one of the five bunkers surrounding the green. In the Big Cat's defense, it's a nice day for the beach here on Long Island.

AROUND THE GREEN: He's got an awkward stance from the bunker and didn't have a lot of options. He smacks this one out and it comes to rest just off the green on the fringe, around 30 feet from the pin. A very difficult par save awaits.

ON THE GREEN: Tiger had a little too much mustard on this par putt as it skates eight feet past the cup. The bogey putt also misses left, meaning another double bogey for TW. Just awful.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 3-over thru 8.

Hole 16: Par 4, 488 yards

OFF THE TEE: Tiger bombed his tee shot 317 yards but found the left rough. It's pretty thick, so he'll go JV basketball and lay this one up.

APPROACH SHOT: That was some lush rough, indeed. He hacked this one out and gets it to run just short of the green. He'll have a good look to get up-and-down for another par.

Golfweek's David Dusek is among the fans behind the 17th tee right now, and the running joke of the day is that the players are going at about a five-hour pace today … which is about an hour faster than it usually takes to play the Black (rim shot). Okay back to the action.

AROUND THE GREEN: Tiger gave this one a great look and almost holed-out for birdie. He'll have just inside four feet for par.

ON THE GREEN: No worries here. Tiger cleans that one up for par.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 1-over thru 7.

Hole 15: Par 4, 486 yards

OFF THE TEE: Subtle club twirl here from Tiger who hit this one 282 yards down the right side of the fairway.

APPROACH SHOT: Tiger's got just a shade over 200 yards to the pin, located on the back of the green. His approach shot takes a nice little kick on the green and rolls to about 15 feet. This is his best look for birdie yet and desperately needs to drop a shot and get things going here today.

ON THE GREEN: That's the marinara on the pasta! Tiger cans the putt for a tasty birdie, his first of the day to get a stroke back on the field.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 1-over thru 6.

Hole 14: Par 3, 167 yards

OFF THE TEE: Safe shot here from Tiger as he finds the dance floor. It's a back pin on a narrow green, and he's got 38 feet for birdie.

ON THE GREEN: Nothing really to see here. Two putt par as his birdie putt came up about four feet short. That's four consecutive pars after the embarrassing double bogey on his first hole.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 2-over thru 5.

Hole 13: Par 5, 609 yards

OFF THE TEE: Nailed it. Tiger's drive on No. 13 paints the fairway, which has a serpentine shape to the green. Getting to the green in two is *almost* impossible. The pin is located back right on the green, which is guarded to the front, and right, by bunkers. The boys will be playing for birdie here today.

SECOND SHOT: Solid approach here for Tiger, who advances up the fairway. He'll have 87 yards to the pin. Tiger and Koepka are playing some cart golf here. The pairs first two shots on the hole were identical.

APPROACH SHOT: TW threw this one up in the air with a lob wedge and once again overshoots the green. Missed opportunity there and he'll be kicking himself when he looks back on his round.

AROUND THE GREEN: Tiger hit a nifty chip here to get inside three feet and set up a par save.

ON THE GREEN: Nothing to see here. Par.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 2-over thru 4.

Hole 12: Par 4, 502 yards

OFF THE TEE: Great shot from Tiger off the tee here, clearing the bunker guarding the fairway and finding the center of the short stuff. He'll have 228 yards to the pin from there.

APPROACH SHOT: Pretty good effort here from TW, who finds the green, just inside 40 feet. He'll have an uphill birdie putt from there.

ON THE GREEN: Another great roll here from Tiger, who left the flagstick in for the putt. He just misses the cup again and cleans up for par.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 2-over thru 3.

Hole 11: Par 4, 444 yards

OFF THE TEE: Fairway wood here for Tiger on No. 11 and he finds the middle of the fairway. Maybe seeing a good shot will get him going after a worst-case scenario start.

APPROACH SHOT: From 170 yards out TW finds the green, about 44 feet below and right of the pin, located on the back left of the green.

ON THE GREEN: Great roll here from Tiger but he just misses right. From inside three feet, Tiger cleans up for par.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 2-over thru 2.

Hole 10: Par 4, 489 yards

OFF THE TEE: And we're off! Little right here for Tiger who finds the rough off the first tee. With the wet conditions, finding fairways will be pivotal today.

SECOND SHOT: Tiger lays up to get back in the fairway after an errant tee shot. Smart play to set up the up-and-down par save.

APPROACH SHOT: Uh-oh. This one goes over the back of the green and Tiger hated it from the start. Time to scramble.

AROUND THE GREEN: Good chip there from Tiger to gets it to within five feet for bogey. Rough start, especially after Brooks Koepka just hammered home a long putt for birdie.

ON THE GREEN: Well. No light way to put it, but that's a two-putt double bogey to start the day.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 2-over thru 1.
