Blanchflower on Brexit Negotiations, BOE Policy, Yellen
Nov.23 -- Danny Blanchflower, former Bank of England policy maker and now economics professor at Dartmouth College, looks at the state of the Brexit talks. Negotiations between the EU and the U.K. have been continuing virtually since Thursday when a senior member of the bloc’s team tested positive for the coronavirus. Officials said this shouldn’t scupper an eventual deal on the future trading and security relationship, and both sides are now upbeat about their chances of success. Blanchflower also discusses BOE policy and U.S. President-elect Joe Biden's plan to nominate former Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen to be Treasury secretary. He speaks on "Bloomberg Daybreak: Asia."
