Defense attorney says officer is ‘devastated’ to be charged with murder in death of Tyre Nichols
Five former Memphis police officers were charged with murder in connection with the death of Tyre Nichols. President Joe Biden released a statement saying, “Tyre’s family deserves a swift, full, and transparent investigation into his death.” The defense attorney for Desmond Mills Jr., one of the officers charged, said Mills is “devastated to find himself charged with a crime.”
