Harding won a special election in February 2015 and was reelected in November 2016 to represent the 107th District, which includes Brookfield, Bethel and Danbury.

“For the last three years it has been my distinct honor to be the state representative for all of my friends and neighbors in the community in which I was raised,” Harding said in a release. “I hope to continue in this role and continue to be the advocate for all those in the 107th district.”

He plans to officially announce his run at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 26 at O’Connor’s Public House in Brookfield.

“The state of Connecticut has unlimited potential, but this potential cannot be reached without our state government reigning in the out-of-control spending and relieving the continuous tax burden placed upon our hard working residents,” Harding said. “Some gains have been made in addressing this serious problem, but far more needs to be done. I look forward to continuing to be a leading advocate on this issue and finally fixing our state’s fiscal house.”

Harding has lived in Brookfield for more than 25 years and runs a law practice in the Danbury area. He is on the Environment Committee, Finance, Revenue & Bonding Committee, and Judiciary Committee. He also served on the Brookfield Board of Education from 2013 to 2017.
