Hillary Clinton: It's a stolen election if the Democrats lose

After liberals spent almost two years denouncing "election deniers" as domestic terrorists, Hillary Clinton sounded the alarm on so-called "far right extremists" whom she says "already have a plan to literally steal the next presidential election."

According to many on the Left, including President Joe Biden's White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, the promulgation of "The Big Lie," the idea that the 2020 presidential election was stolen or tainted, "is putting our democracy at risk."

Liberal pundits and politicians have used the Jan. 6 Capitol riot to advance the narrative that anyone who questions the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election is a threat to our democracy. In a September 2022 speech, Biden said that "denying the results of an election is absolutely a threat to democracy" and specifically called out "MAGA Republicans," those in support of former President Donald Trump, as an "extremist threat to our democracy."

Clinton, already preparing to deny the results of the next presidential election, detailed the latest "vast right-wing conspiracy" in a promotional video for progressive advocacy organization Indivisible Guide, alleging that "the right-wing controlled Supreme Court may be poised to rule on giving state legislatures the power to overturn presidential elections."

She proposed, "If that happens, the 2024 presidential election could be decided not by the popular vote or even by the anachronistic Electoral College, but by state legislatures, many of them Republican-controlled."

Denying election results isn't new to Clinton and other Democrats. One might recall that in 2002, Clinton proclaimed that former President George W. Bush was "selected, not elected." She additionally called Donald Trump an "illegitimate president" in 2019 after she lost to him in the 2016 election.

The Washington Examiner previously reported on Biden agreeing with similar sentiments at a 2019 campaign event, citing unfruitful investigations into the purported Russian interference in the 2016 election after the Democrats lost the presidency.

Stacey Abrams, a Georgia Democrat who ran for governor in 2018 against Brian Kemp, made waves in the media after she refused to admit her own defeat. The Washington Examiner reported on numerous occasions of Abrams denying the results of Georgia's 2018 gubernatorial election.

There exists an inexplicable double standard when Democrats such as Clinton, Biden, and Abrams can deny the results of just about any election that doesn't go their way while maintaining the status quo, yet Republicans are ostracized, shamed, and labeled "extremists" and "terrorists" for daring to question the integrity of the 2020 election.

Either every election is open to scrutiny, or no election can be, but if "denying the results of an election is absolutely a threat to democracy," as Biden maintains, then Clinton's recent allegations of a right-wing conspiracy to steal the 2024 election should be disavowed by the Democrats, if they have any interest in consistency.
