The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol announced an unexpected hearing for Tuesday afternoon. It said it would present “recently obtained evidence and receive witness testimony” but offered few details about the nature of the evidence or who will testify when the hearing was announced Monday.

An ex-White House aide, Cassidy Hutchinson, is expected to testify, according to the Associated Press. Hutchinson has previously provided testimony about House members who sought pardons from Trump.

Hearings for the month of June had been set to conclude last week, when the panel focused on former President Donald Trump’s attempts to pressure the Department of Justice to investigate unsubstantiated claims of election fraud.
