Inside the House office lottery
One of the biggest transition tasks for new House representatives is the office assignment lottery. On Dec. 2, Republicans and Democrats came together to cheer each other on as they took turns picking numbers out of a box that would determine the order in which they’d choose their Capitol Hill office assignments.
