Another candidate for Governor of Iowa made a stop in Sioux City Thursday afternoon, June 30th.

Libertarian nominee Rick Stewart is visiting the area over the next couple of days, looking to introduce himself and his campaign platform to voters.

He says he can be a candidate that all Iowans can support, because he supports all Iowans.

"I'm a Libertarian who represents everybody in Iowa and I don't just represent half of Iowa like my opponents do," Stewart told Siouxland News. "I represent everybody. I like to call myself the first choice for all Iowans and my goal is to be the CEO of Iowa, the person who manages the state so it's a good place for everybody."

This is far from Stewart's first time seeking statewide office - he also ran for US Senate in 2020 and Iowa Secretary of Agriculture in 2018.
