Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is putting his money where his mouth is, wagering $20 on former President Donald Trump prevailing in 2024.

During an appearance on The Daily Show guest-hosted by his old colleague, former Sen. Al Franken (D-MN), on Monday, the two jovially traded barbs over whether Trump can unseat Biden in the presidential election.

“At the end of the day, [Trump's] got to prove to people — not me — that he’s able to lead us again. And that will be a challenge for him,” Graham said. “And that will be a challenge for Biden to say, ‘Give me four more years after the last four.’ We’ll see what happens."

“Well, l think Biden wins that,” Franken quipped.

“Let’s bet. Can we bet?” Graham shot back to laughter from the audience. "Twenty bucks. To be paid here," he stipulated before the pair shook on it.

Franken, a former SNL comedian turned senator who stepped down from the upper chamber in 2018 amid sexual misconduct allegations, is one of several rotating hosts of The Daily Show as Comedy Central works to replace former host Trevor Noah.

Despite coming from different sides of the aisle, Graham and Franken were hopeful about trying to "find common ground," but didn't shy away from their disagreements either.

“The No. 1 tradition that’s meaningful in this country is the peaceful transition of power,” Franken said, before pivoting to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. “How then can you want a guy who allowed us to go through this violent insurrection?"

Graham, who has endorsed Trump in the 2024 GOP primary, rattled off a number of policy achievements from the Trump administration.

“When President Trump was president, on the things I care the most about — national security — I thought he did a damn good job,” Graham declared, citing the Abraham Accords and his order to kill Iranian Maj. Gen. Qasem Soleimani as examples.

“I think he’s got a better than a good chance of winning the primary and a 50/50 chance of being president again,” Graham said.

Ultimately, the pair agreed to disagree on Trump.

“I just think he’s a pathological liar. And I don’t mean to be harsh because I know he’s your friend — and a malignant narcissist,” Franken later said.

“Don’t take this wrongly — he can survive your criticism,” Graham shot back.
