MTP Compressed: Polis calls for a national and local gun response
Gov. Jared Polis (D-Colo.) joined “Meet the Press” to discuss the latest mass shooting in Colorado and what can be done to help minimize gun violence. Polis stressed that he would “take a hard look at why red-flag law wasn't used,” but that the response to gun violence needs to be national as well. Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) discussed gun legislation, his agenda as the likely chairman of the House Oversight Committee and the power struggle within the GOP for Speaker of the House. Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases, talked about his career and the legacy he is leaving behind.
