The National Education Association, whose endorsement in March helped push Joe Biden further into the lead against Sens. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, has delivered its wish list to the Democrat and it includes icing ICE, packing the courts with liberals and curbing school rules such as zero tolerance.

In its 50-page “NEA Policy Playbook,” the nation’s largest teacher’s union today also urged Biden to adopt a long list of liberal policies to limit the expansion of charter schools, block teachers from having guns, and grant amnesty to hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants.

The report is expected to be closely studied by the Biden team which sought the NEA's endorsement.

According to reports, Biden is considering two union officials as his education secretary, Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, and former NEA President Lily Eskelsen Garcia.

In a statement accompanying the report, the NEA put a focus on minorities and called for a war on “white supremacist culture,” capitalizing groups for emphasis, including “People of Color.”

Said the policy report to Biden, “The administration needs to resolve funding inequities by driving more resources to students and communities with the greatest needs. In addition, the country needs an unadulterated national repudiation of white supremacist culture, and we expect the administration to reaffirm to all families, especially Native People and People of Color, that no haven exists for hate crimes, white supremacy, and anti-immigrant policies.”

Key to that is the NEA’s backing of adding more judges to federal courts. The report said Republicans have controlled the picks for too long and that there are too many white men on the bench.

“The lower federal court judges are young, extreme ideologues, who do not reflect the modern United States. Of the 218 federal judges confirmed under the Trump administration, 76% are men and 84% are white,” said the report.

It recommended as judges, “People of Color, women, LGBTQ people, those with disabilities, immigrants, and those from various religious backgrounds. Prioritize nominating lawyers for judgeships who have represented labor unions, workers, consumers, immigrants, or civil rights plaintiffs.”

Biden has said he would create a commission to consider judicial reforms.

The influential group that represents 3 million teachers and staff also put a heavy emphasis on immigration, calling for a path to citizenship for younger illegals and an end to ICE raids, which the union said scares illegal immigrants.

And it claimed that zero tolerance and similar policies “fed by institutional racism” that aim to keep schools safe and drug free create a “schools-to-prison pipeline” that targets minorities and they want the rules altered.
