President Trump mocks Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford after deeming her 'very credible witness'

President Trump during a campaign rally in Mississippi openly ridiculed Dr. Christine Blasey Ford with a parody performance of her testimony before the Senate Judiciary committee despite calling her a “very credible” and “very fine” woman just days earlier.

The President’s most recent remarks, delivered at the Landers Arena in conservative Southaven, were a complete reversal from the reserved and neutral comments he made in wake of the grueling Senate hearings on Capitol Hill last week.

Ford, a professor at Palo Alto University, testified before the Judiciary Committee that she was sexually assaulted by Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh during a boozy summer get-together in the summer of the 1980s. Kavanaugh, in his own tearful testimony at lawmakers and slammed Ford’s allegations as untrue.

Here are the President’s takes, both right after the Senate hearings and earlier this week:

Sept. 28, 2018

“I thought her testimony was very compelling, and she looks like a very fine woman to me. A very fine woman. And I thought that Brett's testimony, likewise, was really something that I haven't seen before. It was incredible. It was an incredible moment, I think, in the history of our country,” Trump said on Friday.

“But certainly she was a very credible witness. She was very good in many respects. And I think that — I don't know if this is going to continue onward or are we going to get a vote,” he added. “But again, I'm here, so I'm not out there watching because I can't be, out of great respect —although maybe we'll go watch together. Okay? We'll watch together.”

The President continued: “But I think it will work out very well for the country. I just want it to work out well for the country. If that happens, I'm happy.”

“I had one beer!” Trump said, re-enacting Ford’s testimony regarding the night of the alleged assault. “‘Well do you think it was…’ Nope it was one beer. ‘Oh good.’”

“How did you get home?” he asked, taking on the Prosecutor’s voice.

“I don’t remember,” Trump continued, again as Ford.

“How’d you get there? I don’t remember. Where is the place? I don’t remember. How many years ago was it? I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know,” the President said.

“What neighborhood was it in? I don’t know. Where’s the house? I don’t know. Upstairs, downstairs – where was it? I don’t know – I had one beer. That’s the only thing I remember.”
