Rudy Giuliani has endorsed fellow Republican Curtis Sliwa’s bid for NYC mayor.

The former mayor says the Guardian Angels founder has what it takes to stem a rising crime rate and turn Gotham around after what they call Mayor de Blasio’s failed reign.

“He is the one who can make NYC safe again,” Giuliani wrote on Twitter late Wednesday.

In a robocall, Giuliani called Sliwa a key ally from his days in City Hall, which he won credit for turning New York around.

“Curtis and the Guardian Angels were there to help me win and then they were there to help me reduce crime and make our city livable again,” Giuliani said.

Sliwa responded by using referring to the former mayor with a term about Italian Americans that Sliwa says means a “close friend, adviser.”

“Thanks for listening to my goombata cheech Rudy Giuliani,” Sliwa said in a message spotlighting the endorsement.

Giuliani is showing no signs of backing away from the political spotlight despite being the target of a federal criminal probe into his infamous effort to dig up dirt on President Biden in Ukraine.

His son, Andrew, is running for the Republican nomination to take on Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo in 2022.

Sliwa is running against Fernando Mateo, an ardent Trump supporter who leads a group of bodega owners, in the GOP primary. Early voting starts Saturday and the primary election is June 22.

Mateo recently met with former President Trump at his Florida club but Trump has so far not made any endorsement in the primary.

Most of the attention has focused on the crowded Democratic primary. Any Republican candidate will face steep odds of winning Gracie Mansion in the deep blue city.
