Sturgeon Plans Scottish Independence Referendum in 2023
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon says the Scottish parliament "has a clear democratic mandate" to push for a second vote on national independence. "My determination is to secure a process that allows the people of Scotland, whether 'Yes,' 'No,' or 'Yet to be decided,' to express their views in a legal constitutional referendum," Sturgeon said in a statement to lawmakers in Edinburgh, Tuesday.
