Just before the their scheduled appointment, Izzy Santa, then Project Veritas' executive director, warned Boudreau of O'Keefe's intentions. Boudreau didn't follow through on the interview. The incident hurt O'Keefe's credibility as a serious muckraker and led to a lack of funding for his organization.
