The Best Reactions to Michael B. Jordan Being Named 2020's Sexiest Man Alive

Michael B. Jordan has been named as 2020's Sexiest Man of the Year by People magazine—and Twitter is thankful for at least one good thing to come of 2020.

The critically acclaimed actor said his new accolade is a "cool feeling."

"You know, everybody always made that joke, like, 'Mike, this is the one thing you're probably not going to get.' But it's a good club to be a part of," Jordan told the publication who bestowed this new honor on him

The 33-year-old is known for his performances in Fruitvale Station, Rocky sequel Creed, and for playing Erik Killmonger in Black Panther.

The California-born star is also famous for playing Wallace in HBO's The Wire and Vince Howard in the NBC drama series Friday Night Lights.

Speaking about his family's reaction to him being named Sexiest Man Alive, Jordan said they are "definitely proud of this one."

"When my grandmother was alive, it was something that she collected, and then my mom naturally reads it a lot and my aunts as well," he said. "This is one that they're definitely going to have a special place for."

The announcement has sent Michael B. Jordan-Twitter into overdrive with fans rejoicing in the morsel of good news.

"Michael B. Jordan being named People's Sexiest Man Alive is the *only* thing that's made sense this year," journalist Jamie Blynn tweeted.

Another joked: "Yeah obvs we all knew Michael B. Jordan was the Sexiest Man Alive. Great job getting caught up."

Actor Jimmy Wong agreed: "Michael B. Jordan BEEN the sexiest man alive for a while now."

"Michael B. Jordan has been named ⁦@People's⁩ #SexiestManAlive. Finally, 2020 got something right," journalist Brittney Cottingham said.

Another person joked: "Michael b Jordan is the sexiest man alive? Tell me something I don't know."

"Michael B. Jordan has always been the sexiest man in my book," another fan tweeted.

Jordan made an appearance on Tuesday's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! Where he was congratulated on his latest award.

Speaking about his confidence, he said: "You could have all the good intentions in the world, and you'll still get controversy or some of type of negativity thrown your way. Sometimes you've just got to trust the universe, you know?"

He added: "You've got to just believe in yourself and do what you feel is really right. I think that adds up and builds confidence."
