Donald Trump Jr.'s first book "Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us" debuted at #1 on The New York Times nonfiction bestseller list on Wednesday.

"Triggered," which was officially released on Tuesday, outlines Trump Jr.'s political views while also discussing President Trump's campaign and administration.

The top-ranking comes amid a national book tour from the president's oldest son that included a contentious stop at ABC's "The View" last week. The visit, which came on the opinion roundtable program's 5000th episode, was seen by more than 3 million viewers, marking the show's most-watched episode since April, according to Nielsen.

"[President Trump] called some Mexicans rapists, he attacked the handicapped, he bragged about it," co-host Joy Behar told Trump Jr. in one heated exchange. "We heard the 'Access [Hollywood]' tape, where he bragged about grabbing women by their genitalia."

"We've all done things that we regret, I mean, if we're talking about bringing a discourse down, Joy, you've worn blackface," he responded.

Trump Jr. son also appeared on "CBS This Morning" last week while promoting "Triggered."

Asked, "Who is your favorite Democrat?" by CBS host Gayle King, he joked, "Mitt Romney, Gayle. Mitt Romney's my favorite Democrat."

Romney, a Republican senator from Utah, is a frequent critic of President Trump's.

Donald Trump's own most popular book was 1987's "The Art of the Deal," which is part-memoir and part business-advice book.
