President Donald J. Trump's original plan to have his election night victory party at the Trump Hotel looks to be in jeopardy due to COVID-19 restrictions in the city.

"We haven't made a determination," Trump told White House reporters Friday morning. "We have certain rules and regulations, you know, Washington, D.C. is shut down.  The Mayor has shut it down."

The president says they will find an alternative site if they have to.

So we have a hotel, I don't know if it's shut down if you're allowed to use it or not," Trump said.  "But I know the mayor has shut down Washington, D.C., and if that's the case, we'll probably stay here or pick another location.

Eric Trump said on Fox News Friday morning that they are looking at holding the party at the White House.
