The New York Post is reportedly unable to use its Twitter account.

Twitter locked the outlet out of its account after it published a story Wednesday that purported to show Hunter Biden facilitated communications between his father and then-Vice President Joe Biden and Vadym Pozharskyi, who served as an adviser to the board of Ukrainian energy firm Burisma that the younger Biden was once on.

The Biden campaign categorically denied the report.

"The Post's primary Twitter account (@nypost) has also been locked because the Hunter Biden stories violate its rules against 'distribution of hacked material,' per email we received from Twitter," New York Post reporter Noah Manskar tweeted.

The Washington Examiner reached out to Twitter for comment.

Twitter took steps earlier Wednesday to block users of the social media site from sharing the article. Whenever an account attempts to share the story, an error message is displayed calling the story "potentially harmful."

"We can't complete this request because this link has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially harmful," the message of caution reads.

Facebook also announced it would take steps to prevent the article from being circulated on its site, placing a label that said the story is "eligible to be fact-checked."

The Biden campaign said the alleged meeting described by the New York Post never occurred, blasting President Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani as perpetuating "discredited conspiracy theories."

"Investigations by the press, during impeachment, and even by two Republican-led Senate committees whose work was decried as ‘not legitimate’ and political by a GOP colleague have all reached the same conclusion: that Joe Biden carried out official U.S. policy toward Ukraine and engaged in no wrongdoing. Trump Administration officials have attested to these facts under oath," said Biden campaign spokesman Andrew Bates to Politico.

"The New York Post never asked the Biden campaign about the critical elements of this story. They certainly never raised that Rudy Giuliani - whose discredited conspiracy theories and alliance with figures connected to Russian intelligence have been widely reported - claimed to have such materials. Moreover, we have reviewed Joe Biden’s official schedules from the time and no meeting, as alleged by the New York Post, ever took place," Bates continued.

The alleged meeting described by the New York Post was based on emails between Hunter Biden and Pozharskyi.

“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,” the email dated April 17, 2015, reads.
