Twitter Reinstatements Continue as Clinton Rape Accuser's Account Restored

Above, Bill Clinton rape accuser Juanita Broaddrick after a debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump in 2016. Broaddrick's Twitter account was reinstated on Monday after she was previously banned for spreading vaccine misinformation.
Twitter's raft of reinstatements continues, with a woman best known for accusing Bill Clinton of rape being returned to the platform after being suspended for violating COVID-19 misinformation rules.
Juanita Broaddrick was among the women to accuse former President Clinton of sexual misconduct in the 1990s, alleging that he raped her in 1978 when he was serving as attorney general of Arkansas. Clinton and his legal representatives have denied her allegations, which were among the most severe leveled against him during his presidency.
In the years since, she has remained active in the political and activist realms, speaking out in support of assault victims, while also supporting many Republican politicians, including former President Donald Trump. Controversially, she has also spoken out against COVID-19 vaccinations and claimed to be unvaccinated herself. In April, these stances got her booted from Twitter for violating the service's COVID misinformation policies after she claimed that vaccines alter DNA.

"When will this vaccine crap be over? Big Pharma has profited enough for the next hundred years. Stop pushing vaccines that don't work and alter DNA," Broaddrick wrote in a tweet. Twitter said that it would restore her account if she removed the tweet.
On Monday, her suspension was lifted, with Broaddrick herself confirming the news in a tweet, thanking new Twitter leader Elon Musk and conservative Twitter figure, "Catturd." Since returning to the platform, she has posted extensively and retweeted a promotion for a coming anti-vaccine documentary.

Since Musk took over the platform in late October with the stated desire to loosen moderation practices, Twitter has reinstated numerous banned accounts, including many conservatives who violated misinformation policies. One of the most prominent returns has been Trump's account, which was permanently suspended in the wake of January 6, though the former president has so far declined to use it.
Georgia GOP Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene's personal account was restored after it was suspended in January after the congresswoman violated COVID misinformation policies. Greene retained the ability to tweet via her official account.
The satirical conservative humor website Babylon Bee was also reinstated. The site's account was suspended for violating Twitter's hateful content policies after publishing a transphobic piece about Rachel Levine, the transgender U.S. assistant secretary for health.
Other prominent conservative figures returned to the site have included Jordan Peterson, Andrew Tate and the media group Project Veritas. Rapper Kanye West was also reinstated after he was suspended for posting antisemitic content.
The reinstatements have not been limited to conservatives. Left-wing comedian Kathy Griffin's account was also reinstated, having previously been suspended for impersonating Musk's account in protest of his proposed Twitter policies.
