Tip O'Neill and Ronald Reagan

U.S. House Speaker O'Neill (D-Massachusetts) worked with the Republican President Reagan to get things done. It was the clash of titans at times, but they did overcome their differences to pass tax reforms in 1982. There were some phone conversations held to call a truce, but O'Neill would say, "Old buddy, that's politics - after 6 o'clock we can be friends; but before 6, it's politics."
