At the Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) told the crowd he had picked his pronouns.

The idea, he said, came after speaking with a young Republican.

"I talked recently with a college kid at one of these schools who said in each class before a student speaks, they are required to introduce themselves, say their name, and say, 'My pronouns are.' Well, my name is Ted Cruz, and my pronouns are kiss my a**!"

The crowd at CPAC erupted with cheers and a lengthy standing ovation.

Cruz then spelled it out further.

"If you see someone with a beard and chest hair and a voice like Barry White, that's a dude. But we know that. Lia Thomas — I am sorry, Lia Thomas looks like Michael Phelps. And people across the country, across the world, are, like, that don't make any sense. And it is powerful how people‘s eyes are opening up," Cruz said.

The senator also said his top priority was about "standing up and fighting every dumba** idea that comes out of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi."
