On Jan. 6, 2021, Donald Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol, which prompted a criminal investigation led by a House select committee. The committee has obtained tens of thousands of documents, including texts, emails and phone records from Trump allies and has issued at least 52 subpoenas for documents, phone and email records, bank statements and witness testimony.
