Travis McMichael, his father Gregory McMichael and their neighbor William “Roddie” Bryan were all found guilty of murdering 25-year-old Black man Ahmaud Arbery, who was fatally shot while jogging in a Brunswick, Georgia, neighborhood. Now the three men face separate federal hate crime and kidnapping charges in a federal trial set to begin in February 2022. All three men have pleaded not guilty. If convicted in the federal trial, they could face another sentence and penalty of life in prison.
