What We Know About The Federal Trial For Cops Charged In George Floyd’s Death
Three former Minneapolis police officers face federal trial for their roles in George Floyd’s death. J.Kueng, Thomas Lane and Tou Thao were on the scene as ex-cop Derek Chauvin killed Floyd after kneeling on his neck for over nine minutes during an attempted arrest in May 2020. They are charged with willfully depriving Floyd of his constitutional rights and failing to get him medical care. Chauvin also faces these charges. Here is what we know so far.
