Former Justice Daniel Kelly, the Republican-backed candidate, and Milwaukee County Judge Janet Protasiewicz, the liberal, are running to replace retiring Justice Patience Roggensack.

With balance of the state’s high court on the line, in-person early voting is underway in the most expensive state Supreme Court race in U.S. history.
