2 Baltimore business groups merge to 'change status quo'
Two big Baltimore business groups are merging as part of an effort to raise their profile and change the status quo, leaders said. So, what does that mean? Calvin Butler, chief operating officer of Exelon, and Brian Pieninck, CEO of CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, are leading a merger of the Greater Baltimore Committee and the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore with an eye toward raising the business community's profile.
