BSO helps celebrate Black History Month with series

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra will have performances this month that highlight the contributions of African Americans in music. The BSO wants patrons to read about Black history and hear it through their performances. Florence Price is one of those artists. She's the first African American woman to have a symphony performed by a major American orchestra. So, the BSO kicked off its Black History Month celebrations early with African American pianist Michelle Cann and the orchestra playing Price's work to pay tribute.
