Husband of police official fatally shot in northeast Baltimore
The husband of a Baltimore City police lieutenant was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon in northeast Baltimore. Residents who live in the 1400 block of Walker Avenue described a blatant crime after someone shot James Blue III multiple times. Blue's wife works in the police department's Public Integrity Unit. Police said they do not think Blue became a target because of his wife's work. Blue, a 43-year-old train conductor for Amtrak, was outside of a property he was rehabilitating when he was shot. His family said he was waiting for a refrigerator delivery when someone shot him.
