Mario Kart Tour teases Shroom Ridge in new Doctor Tour trailer

Mario Kart Tour has just released a new trailer today featuring the upcoming Doctor Tour, which is expected to roll out on February 22nd, 2023. There are a variety of cosmetics for characters and karts, as well as the highly anticipated addition of the Shroom Ridge course. There is nothing especially surprising or compelling about the cosmetics in the upcoming Doctor Tour. The karts and details are nice, and they have just as much charm as any other tour. But most fans are justifiably annoyed that the Doctor Tour is focusing so much on recolors.
Dr. Mario has been a successful series of its own for decades, so there are plenty of other characters to bring in, and it feels like a missed opportunity. New characters would be especially appropriate since the game is finally going to add Shroom Ridge, which is undoubtedly an enormous win.
Shroom Ridge was the only missing course needed for Mario Kart Tour to match the first couple of waves from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s Booster Course Pass. Fans have been waiting for this course for a very long time, so the delayed addition is surely no coincidence.
Including so much of Mario Kart 8’s content is a little surprising, particularly for a free-to-play alternative. Mario Kart Tour has also received a lot more support, and its controls are more accessible for casual players who aren’t interested in constructing the perfect kart.
Mario Kart Tour also teased the upcoming Wave 26 of Mii Racing Suits, featuring the Para-Biddybud outfit. A new tweet teased a brand-new suit for Wave 27, due March 7th, 2023:
