New federal overdose prevention strategy unveiled in Baltimore

Federal officials on Wednesday visited Baltimore to announce a new national strategy to curb overdose deaths. There are four priorities for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The intent is to launch a holistic approach to address substance misuse. The HHS strategy features the following pillars: primary prevention, harm reduction, evidence-based treatment and recovery support.
