SpaceX successfully launches 54 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit

SpaceX launched Starlink satellites into orbit Sunday evening.

During the Falcon 9 launch, a total of 54 Starlink satellites were launched into low-earth orbit.

SpaceX set the instantaneous launch window for 8:18 p.m. Sunday.

Previously, the launch had been scrubbed multiple times due to weather conditions.

Sunday evening, the launch took off from Space Launch Complex 40 located at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

The first stage booster used in the mission landed on the drone ship called Just Read the Instructions in the Atlantic Ocean after stage separation.

SpaceX said this marks their 180th overall launch and their 96th launch from Space Launch Complex 40.
