Looking for the best things to do in New York City this weekend? Here are some family-friendly events and activities to add to your list for this weekend.

Looks like this weekend might be on the warm side, so it's the perfect time to air condition the kids at the Natural History Museum and explore the new exhibit, Extinct and Endangered. Do a little dance to celebrate the solstice, learn some Kung Fu or Hip Hop moves at the NYC Kids Fest, or drink in some Americana Music (think folk, blues, bluegrass, and more) while a cool breeze wafts in from the East River.

This weekend is your last chance to see both Richard II and Richard III and ponder the fate of the House of Lancaster. The Egg Rolls, Egg Creams, and Empanadas Fest is finally back with fabulous food and its trademark mash-up of Jewish, Chinese, and Hispanic cultures. All that, and you can get in summer mode at Children's Museum of the Arts' Beach Block Party, too!

Are there any FREE outdoor movies, you wonder? OH yes.  As always, it is our civic duty to remind you that our Family Activity Calendar is always here to serve you. Take a peek.
