More than a dozen people have been tested for the coronavirus in Florida and four people are currently under investigation for the virus, the state surgeon general said Friday.

Florida Surgeon General Dr. Scott Rivkees said 15 people in Florida have been tested for the virus to date, but all of those test results were negative. Four people are currently under investigation for coronavirus.

“A person who is under investigation means this is an individual who is suspected of having the coronavirus. They’ve been to one of these high-risk areas, they have respiratory symptoms,” Rivkees said.

No coronavirus testing kits available now in Florida

The Florida Department of Health has set up a website with the latest information about the coronavirus.

More than 80,000 cases have been confirmed worldwide, mostly in China. There have been almost 3,000 deaths.
