CHP said Pace tried to steer back onto the roadway, but his car overturned, fell 150 feet down an embankment and struck a tree.

There were no witnesses to the crash, so it was unreported until around 1:30 p.m., CHP said.

Anyone with further information is encouraged to call the South Lake Tahoe CHP office.
