Eight people were displaced following a house fire on Saturday in Phoenix.

According to the Phoenix Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched to the area near 51st Avenue and Thomas Road where crews found heavy fire and smoke coming from the interior of a residential house.

"Crews established a water supply, extended hose lines and quickly attacked the fire," said Captain Todd Keller with the Phoenix Fire Department. "Prior to the fire department's arrival, all occupants had safely evacuated the home."
