800 Thanksgiving Dinners Given In Rockland To Vets, Families

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — On Saturday, 800 bags with the fixings for Thanksgiving dinner were given to veterans and military families across Rockland County.

The event was coordinated by the Veterans Angels of Hope in partnership with each of the county's five towns and the Village of Sloatsburg.

At a news conference Nov. 18, Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann; Haverstraw Supervisor Howard Phillips; Orangetown Supervisor Teresa Kenny; Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht; Stony Point Supervisor Jim Monaghan; and Sloatsburg Mayor Carl Wright announced the first-time county wide program along with Richie Jarcho, Veterans Angels of Hope; sponsors Sean Magee, Anchor Trading and Teddy Maldonado, Rt. 59 Interstate Toyota; and People to People of Rockland.
