Abortion bans will increase mass incarceration, says activist
Dominique Morgan, executive director of nonprofit The Okra Project, warns that overturning Roe will fuel the foster care to prison pipeline. “To say, ‘Children deserve be here, and we’ll figure it out later’… We’ve had centuries to figure it out, and we are still seeing young people go from the juvenile system to the adult system,” Morgan explains.
