Two vehicles were involved. More information about what happened was not immediately available from local authorities.

At a public meeting for the Bear Fire, which is burning near Highway 6 northwest of Helper, it was mentioned that the city's fire chief could not attend because he was at the scene of the crash.

UHP asked that drivers avoid the area and use an alternate route.

This is a developing story.
