Capitol Police chief admits that officers were underequipped for Jan. 6 riot
The acting chief of the Capitol Police said that only 170 of the 1,200 officers who were working Jan. 6 were properly equipped with riot gear, and that that was no match for what she called “tens of thousands of insurrectionists.” There is also new reporting on the Proud Boys’ involvement in the riot.
