City of Falls Church named No. 2 Healthiest Community in the United States
Falls Church has been named the second healthiest community in the nation, according to the U.S. News and World annual report.

Falls Church has remained in the top three of the nation and earned the No. 1 community honor in the inaugural report back in 2018 and received the No. 3 community honor the past three years.
"The City is proud to once again be recognized as one of the healthiest communities in the nation," Mayor P. David Tarter said. "We strive to improve the health, fitness, and quality of life of our residents through a walkable, bikeable city with excellent recreational facilities, a popular Farmers Market, and world-class schools.

For 2022, the Healthiest Communities analysis assessed nearly 3,000 counties and county-equivalents across 89 metrics in 10 categories that shape and show a community's health and well-being, ranging from the economy and public safety to infrastructure, food and nutrition, and community vitality, according to the U.S. News and World Report.
